Payroll Giving is a simple, tax-effective way for employees to give regularly to the MPS Society. Donations are taken directly from your pay before tax and National Insurance are deducted, so it costs you less to give more.
The donation is taken from your gross pay, every pound you give will only cost you 80p (or 60p if you are a higher rate tax payer).
You donate: | Cost to you as 20% tax payer: | Cost to you as a 40% tax payer |
£5.00 | £4.00 | £3 |
£7.50 | £6.00 | £4.50 |
£10.00 | £8.00 | £6.00 |

How do I get my employer signed up to Payroll Giving?
Your employer needs to have a scheme in place to run payroll giving which they then offer to their employees. It’s a good idea to speak with your employer (your manager or HR department) to check if they already have one in place.
