On 15 May we held an MPS Awareness Day event in the beautiful St Ethelburga's Centre for Reconciliation & Peace. The evening showcased some of the work we do to support individuals with MPS and related conditions and their families, including our online community, advocacy support and group events.
We welcomed a mix of supporters, volunteers and members of our community to listen to a panel of patients who shared their stories about life with a rare condition and the support they have received from the MPS Society. Thank you to all who came to celebrate with us.
Since the event …
Natasha shared some wonderful news that highlight the value of being part of a community:
Thank you for inviting me to the MPS event. I met some really lovely people from various backgrounds and organisations and it was great listening to all the presentations as well! We arranged to meet up with Chris and Julie, one of the couples we met and had a wonderful time together. We wouldn’t have met them if it wasn’t for the MPS event so thank you again!
