Together we can transform lives

Share:

With autumn slowly creeping upon us, what better time to look back at those warmer months with a nice cuppa and celebrate some of our fantastic fundraisers. This addition features a fabulous charity football match and two pop and rock choirs singing their hearts out for the MPS Society. Let’s look at some of the summer highlights.

Charity of the year!

We would like to say a special thank you to the Inner Wheel Club of Clevedon who have chosen us as their charity of the year! We are thoroughly looking forward to working closely with them over the next 12 months and can’t thank them enough for their support. Thank you to Sheena Bagnall a member of the Inner Wheel Club of Clevedon and Grandmother to Ada who has an MPS condition, who received a cheque on our behalf last month for £692.00! This was raised by The Vibe and Generation Vibe, Rock and Pop choir from ticket sales and a raffle. Thank you to everyone involved for your amazing fundraising!

Charity Football Match for Hari

A big MPS Society thank you to everyone who was involved in Hari's charity football match at the beginning of August. Organised by Dad Gavin and Uncle Shaun for Hari, who has an MPS condition, they raised an incredible £1,315.25! Thank you for raising vital awareness and funds for families and individuals affected by rare and complex genetic conditions, it looks like you had an amazing day!

A big thank you to:

  • Gillan Loughlin who has Fabry, and Olivia Hull, Aunty to Cody who has an MPS condition, who both took to the skies in July. Collectively they raised an impressive £381.00.

  • Jake Galvin who let his fists do the talking at the beginning of July in his Ultra MMA boxing event, raising a whooping £501.00 for his cousin Max!

  • Chris Barnes who took on the Ironman in Vitoria for his friend Claire O’ Meera who has Fabry. He raised a powerful £645.00.

Our amazing steppers, runners, swimmers and spinners have been sharing how they have achieved their 2 miles a day from coastal walks to park runs. Thank you, team, for helping to raise vital funds and awareness for those affected by MPS, Fabry, and related conditions we can't thank you enough. Keep up the great work! 💙 💙 💙
